Saquarema, RJ, Brazil - a few photos from today

A shot from the coach window, it took 2 hours to get from Rio to Saquarema, first you pass through the shipping area and Favelas on the outskirts, then it was mile after mile of rainforest covered hills. This carries on right up to the edge of Saquarema town.

This guy loved the fact that we likes his Camper - a 1961 split screen apparently...
A yellow bird, they seem to be everywhere here
Fia on the beach (Itauna), I forgot to put sun cream on my calves and now they´re very red...
Painted street ready for the World Cup. They go mental for it here.

The Hostel, we are the only people staying here at the moment so we have it all to ourselves. Rented a board today but the rip was really strong and nobody else was in the water. the waves were over head height so I decided to get out and go in once I´ve spoken to the locals about avoiding being sucked out to sea!
